Bubamarac, the lovesick bug 

Zvonimir Balog, one of the founders of Croatian poetry for children, wrote this famous poem back in 1978. Arsen Dedić, one of the great Croatian popular composers, put his verses to music and since than, many generations of children have grown up with this charming song about a little male ladybug which tries to find his mate. This theatrical version brings a modern twist to this lovesick bug's adventure. The little lovesick bug has to navigate the contemporary match-making scene made up of superficiality, fashion trends and consumerist tendencies. When he finally learns to discern empty words and pretty faces from true love, his little ladybug will appear where he least expected it - right by his side.
