HEIDI

After first years spent with her grandfather in the idyllic Swiss Alps, little Heidi goes to Frankfurt to live with a rich family and to keep the little girl Klara company, because Klara is tied to a wheelchair. Life in a big city is completely different from that in the mountains, and Heidi, despite the friendship that binds her with Klara, cannot last long without nature. After she falls ill, she returns to her grandfather and recovers. Klara will soon visit her, and the fresh air, country food and Heidi's loyalty will help her miraculously recover and walk. The Swiss writer Johanna Spyri brought a breath of fresh alpine breeze into many homes in her most famous novel. Suggestive literary images of nature exude a healing beauty, and in such an environment all problems can be solved, because nature takes care of all its creatures, including two lonely girls. Heidi invites every child to explore open spaces, far from the city smog and modern everyday life in which more and more children spend time within four walls.
