Carlo Collodi
Pinocchio
Pinocchio is neither a real boy, nor is he an ordinary puppet. When the Blue Fairy grants the wooden puppet life, an adventure begins for Gepetto and Pinocchio, in course of which Gepetto will have to learn what it means to be a father and Pinocchio what it means to be a real boy. This story remains one of the classic tales about growing up, relevant today because it reminds parents of the balance between laxity and strictness, and teaches children the importance of kindness and responsibility. Collodi shows that love and selflessness are not the easiest road, but the only one that leads to a fulfilled and meaningful life.
